Introduction

There is a major change to the registration process. We now use one account per family.

The school registration process contains two parts:

Online Registration Steps

For new NWCS families

1. If you do not have an NWCS account, then follow the link "Register" on the left of the webpage to register an account.
2. In registration form, the first 3 fields (First, Middle and Last name) are for the head of the family also know as "Parent 1". The rest of the fields should be self explained. Only enter children who will attend NWCS in 2009 Fall. The eldest is Child 1, then order by age.
   
3. Submit your registration. You should receive an email to confirm your account registration. Please follow the instruction to activate your account.
   

For continuing NWCS families

1. If you (head of the family) already have an account, login to your account, then follow the link "個人資料/ My Profile", then click on "Edit" then "Update your profile". In "Contact Info" tab, the first 3 fields (First, Middle and Last name) are for the head of the family also know as "Parent 1". The rest of the fields should be self explained. Only enter children who will attend NWCS in 2009 Fall. The eldest is Child 1, then order by age.
   
2. Press "Update" to complet.
   

Calculate Tuition

1. Visit this page to calculate your tuition. Enter names and all necessary information, click on "Calculate" for total amount.
   
2. Print the calculator page, sign the waiver forms, send it with your check (with late fee, if applicable) to: Mr. Douglas Thomas, c/o NWCS, 197 Riverview Drive, Fishkill, NY 12524

Policies

After registering on line, mail your waiver form and check to the Registrar. Please make your check payable to NWCS.

1. Registration after 07/15/2009 will be regarded as late registration and subject to a late charge of $50 (new students are exempt from the late charge)  NO Late Fee for 2009 Fall.
   
2. To register for the PK class, a copy of the birth certificate is required to show that the student was born on or before 12/31/2005.
3. To register for first grade, a copy of the birth certificate is required to show that the student was born on or before 12/31/2003.
4. All students from grade 6 to grade 11 must take the one-hour special class in addition to the two-hour regular class:
   
   1. 6th grade students must take Calligraphy in the first hour and regular class in the 2nd and 3rd hours.
   2. 7th grade to 11th grade students will take the regular class in the first 2 hours and a special class in the 3rd hour.
   3. 7th grade students must choose a special class in the 3rd hour.
   4. 8th grade students must take Geography in the 3rd hour.
   5. 9th grade students must take History in the 3rd hour.
   6. 10th and 11th grade students must choose a special class in the third hour. The school recommends:
      -- 10th graders – SATII followed with Culture team or Tutoring
      -- 11th graders – SATII followed with Culture team or Tutoring
      
5. The Chinese Culture class is for 7th graders and up, and the Chinese Chess & Go class is for 3rd graders and up.
6. Special Program classes have limited enrollment and may be canceled due to insufficient enrollment (a minimum of 6 students is required).
7. Both adults and children are eligible for the special classes. Grade 12 is for one term. Select grade 12b if you want to take an elective for the whole year.
8. If you or your child have a Chinese name, please do your best to enter it. If it is beyond your capability, please write it on the waiver form.
9. You can modify a profile before the end of the add/drop period. Editing of students' information will then be disabled.
