本校今年度的新年晚會及畢業典禮的照片已經發印在CD上。 下兩周我們將在學校餐廳播放這些照片。 有意購買者請屆時訂購。 照片CD每張五元。
The picture album of the 2007 New Year's party and Graduation ceremony is now available in CD format. The CD will be played in the cafeteria for the next two weeks while we take orders for the pictures. The price is $5.00. Don't miss these spectacular photos!
早餐供應
Breakfast Service Resumes
自本周六起， 我們又有早餐供應。 感謝早餐會家長們的辛勞， 讓我們又有早餐享用。 由於人力有限， 早餐的內容將大為簡化。
The breakfast service will resume on Saturday mornings at the cafeteria. Due to the limited resources available, the breakfast selection will not be as elaborate as it used to be. We appreciate the efforts of the parents who provide this wonderful service to our community!

ACS Annual Conference
美東中文學校2007年會將于五月二十六日及二十七日在Cherry Hill， New Jersey 舉行。 年會內容包括主題演講， 資優教師獎及學生獎頒發， 分題座談， 演講比賽， 海報競賽， 文化表演晚會等。 所有本校的老師， 同學及家長都歡迎參加。 有興趣者請向校長報名。
The Association of Chinese Schools (ACS) will hold its 34th annual conference at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Cherry Hill, New Jersey on May 26th and 27th, 2007. The program will include a keynote speaker, teacher and student awards, a panel discussion, a Chinese teaching seminar, student activities, a Jeopardy-style Chinese culture competition, a speech competition, a poster-making competition, and an evening Chinese culture performance. All our families are welcome to attend. Please contact the Principal if interested.

Parent Duty
家長值日是北威中文學校一個重要的傳統。我們非常需要每一位家長擔當起這份責任。 請各位家長預先查看家長值日表，在您當值的那一天准時報到。如果您有時間上的衝突，請提早安排替換人選。 細節請看北威網站的Description of on duty parents' tasks （在家長值日表的link之下)。
Parent-on-duty has been an important tradition at NWCS. Every parent's participation is the key to the success of the school. We ask that you check the Parent Duty roster in advance and fulfill your duty accordingly. If a scheduling conflict arises, it is your responsibility to make necessary prior arrangements. The absentee will be fined $50.00. For more details, please see the description of the on duty parent's tasks on the NWCS website (click the Parent Duty Roster link).

為籌備下學年的開始， 本校目前在尋覓適當的人選來接替校長， 副校長， 祕書， 財務， 董事等多項職位。 北威近四十年的優久歷史完全要歸功於所有熱心的家長們對學校無私的服務及參與。 我們在此呼籲每一位家長挺身參與學校的事務。 如果您有興趣， 或有意推薦人選， 請向校長張振坤聯係。
The school is now seeking candidates for several administrative positions, including Principal, Vice Principal, Secretary, Treasurer, and five board members. NWCS is strictly a volunteer-based operation. Since 1969, NWCS parents have given freely of their time to support the school in its educational mission. We encourage all parents to become involved in school affairs, and to carry our school forward to the next year. If you are interested in a more active role in the school, or know someone who may be interested, please contact the principal, CK Chang.

The hard-copy newsletter will no longer be distributed, beginning 3/17/2007. Newsletters will continue to be distributed via e-mail and posted on the school website. If you have not received any soft-copy newsletters, or need to update your e-mail address, please contact the principal right away.
上週座談會摘要
Town Hall Meeting Brief
感謝多位家長出席上週六的座談會。 您的意見將供學校做參考。會中我們討論下學年學校遷址後， 對康州的家庭路程將增加約十四分鐘， 對從北邊來的家庭路程不會有太大的影響。 如果您還有其他的問題， 請跟校長或是董事聯係。
A town hall meeting regarding the new school site was held last Saturday. Thanks to lots of parents' participation and feedback, we have addressed a few concerns and taken suggestions. The travel time to get to Briarcliff Middle School for Connecticut families has been measured and the conclusion is that it will take an extra 14 minutes. On the other hand, the families from the north will benefit from no travel on local roads, and the travel time will either be the same or shorter. If you have any other concerns, please contact the Principal, CK Chang, or any board members.
