畢業典禮暨新年晚會延期

Party, Graduation Postponed

The New Year's Party and Graduation Ceremony have been postponed to next Saturday, 01/20/2007, as the Somers High School will be closed this Saturday afternoon due to the long Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday weekend.

We are at the end of the fall semester. This week is the last day of school for this semester. Thank you to all the teachers, staff and parents, who have greatly contributed to the success of the semester! The Graduation Ceremony and New Year's Party will be next week, and the Spring semester will begin 02/24/2007.

Following the donation mentioned a few weeks ago, NWCS received two additional donations, $3,000 and $500, respectively, from two anonymous parents. Thank you very much for your support!

Graduation and New Year's

畢業典禮暨新年晚會將於一月二十日舉行。 地點是在 Somers 高中。 晚會餐卷將本周六繼續發售﹐ 有意購買者請在餐廳訂購。 預先訂購成人票一張 $12 孩童票一張 $8。 當日購票者成人票 $14 孩童票 $10。 新年晚會於 1:30 舉行﹐ 我們的學生為您準備了精彩﹐ 生動的表演節目。 晚餐於 5:00 開始。 園遊會 6:30 開始節目包括抽獎活動﹐ 舞獅, 跳舞機﹐ 及有獎猜迷。 抽獎活動頭獎是 Canon digital camera 及 30GB Video iPod。 請大家告訴大家﹗

卡迪亞公司為本校捐贈三樣精美的禮物： Roadster 金表（市價$6,950）， Happy Birthday compact wallet （市價$575）， 及 Diabolo composite ballpoint pen （市價$245）。 我們在此感謝卡迪亞公司及 Pat Maugue 的熱心贊助。 金表將做為拍賣項目， 另外兩件將做為抽獎活動的獎品。 如果您有意捐贈禮品， 請跟 Rene Yip 或是 Benson Louie 聯係。

The New Year's Party and Graduation Ceremony will be held next Saturday, 01/20/2007, at Somers High School. All families are invited. Advance dinner tickets for the party are available for purchase at the cafeteria this Saturday, 01/13/2007. Tickets purchased in advance are $12 per adult and $8 per child; tickets at the door are $14 and $10, respectively. The ceremony and class performances will start at 1:30. Our students have prepared a variety of lovely programs for you. The dinner will be served at 5:00; the carnival will begin at 6:30, and includes a raffle drawing, lion dance, PS2 game/dance, and riddle games. The raffle grand prizes are a Canon digital camera and a 30GB Video iPod. Don't miss out on this celebration!

Three gifts were graciously donated by Cartier North America (653 Fifth Avenue, New York, NY 10022) for our New Year's party. The Roadster Large Model Steel/Gold watch (retail value $6,950) will be an auction item; the Happy Birthday compact wallet (retail value $575) and the Diabolo composite ballpoint pen (retail value $245) will be raffle prizes. Our thanks go to Pat Maugue and Cartier North America. All parents are welcome to purchase raffle tickets for these and more prizes.
