十二月二十三日及三十日适逢佳節，學校停課兩周。敬祝大家過節愉快。

There will be no classes 12/23/2006 and 12/30/2006 due to the Christmas and New Year holidays. Happy Holidays!!

每週通訊

Newsletter e-Mailing

自本周起，每週通訊除了在本校網址刊行及每週六的分發，也將在周四經由電子郵件傳送給大家。希望藉此能祚增進大家對學校動態的了解及參與。

Starting this week, in addition to the web posting and hard copy distribution, the weekly newsletter will be e-mailed to all families on Thursday. We hope the emailing distribution will help to keep everyone informed of school updates.

財務捐獻

Financial Donations

北威是一個非營利性的組織。學校所有的運作經費完全靠學費收入及熱心家長的捐獻。如果您有意在財務方面支援北威，請跟學校董事或是校長張振坤聯係。您的捐獻可以扣抵所得稅。

NWCS is an IRS 501(c)(3) compliant not-for-profit organization. Financial donations to our school are tax deductible. A receipt will be provided for tax purposes. If you wish to make a donation, please contact any board member or the Principal. Your donation goes a long way in supporting our school.

徵求園遊會遊戲道具

Carnival Game Items Needed

為了提升本學期畢業/新年晚會之園遊會遊戲項目﹐ 特徵求各位家長踴躍提供或出借家中之遊戲道具。有意提供遊戲道具的家長﹐ 請與符時華聯繫。例如：跳舞機, 舞獅道具及大鼓,卡拉OK, 孩童籃球架。另徵求Leader, 若有家長願意幫忙請與符時華聯繫。

In order to enrich the carnival activity for the New Year's/Graduation Party, we are in need of games and toys suitable for the carnival, such as dancing machine or DDR, lion dance constume and drum, karaoke, and basketball hoop (kid's size). We are also looking for volunteers to organize and lead the carnival activities. If you can help out at this event or donate or lend toys and games, please contact Mr. Shiwa Fu.

聖誕節募款活動

Holiday Sale

聖誕佳節即將來臨。本校目前正在舉辦募款活動。本周六是最後一天。募款活動的內容是銷售聖誕禮品。您可以在十點到十二點之間到學校餐廳來採購過節禮品，既省時間又省錢。我們需要大家捐贈家裏沒有用過的物品或是多餘的禮品。與中華文化有關的物品更是歡迎。請將這些禮品于 9:45 之前帶到學校餐廳。禮品銷售將于十點到十二點舉行。禮品定價保證物美價廉。所有銷售的款項將捐贈給學校。請大家多多支持這項募款活動。

With the Holiday Season around the corner, NWCS is conducting its second annual holiday fundraising sale event in the cafeteria. This Saturday is the last day! Imagine this - holiday shopping with gifts priced below retail value, and without traffic or long lines! NWCS will need your help to make this successful. NWCS is looking for as many families as possible to donate new, unwrapped gifts. (i.e. gifts from your closets or storage that you would love to give away.) Gifts related to Chinese culture are especially appreciated. Bring your new, unwrapped gifts to the cafeteria from 9:00-9:45; then return at 10:00, shop and buy as much as you like. Take life easy! Shop, save and help support NWCS at the same time.

畢業典禮暨新年晚會

Graduation and New Year's

北威畢業典禮/新年晚會將于一月十三日舉行（如遇下雪則順延至一月二十日）。地點是在 Somers 高中。晚會餐卷將在十二月十六日開始發售﹐ 有意購買者請在餐廳訂購。預先訂購成人票一張 $12 孩童票一張 $8。當日購票者成人票 $14 孩童票$10。

請家長與老師們開始準備畢業典禮暨新年晚會的表演節目﹐ 並將節目名稱及細節於十二月十六日前向副校長符時華報備。這是一個讓小朋友, 大朋友用中文展現才藝及同樂的機會。我們也期待所有北威的家庭能在一起共度新年佳節。

The New Year's Party and Graduation Ceremony will be held on 01/13/2007 (snow date 01/20/2007) at Somers High School. All families are invited. Dinner tickets for the party are available for purchase at the cafeteria starting this Saturday, 12/16/2006. Tickets purchased in advance are $12 per adult and $8 per child. Tickets at the door are $14 and $10, respectively.

All class parents and teachers, please start planning your programs for the New Year's Party and Graduation Ceremony. Please submit the details of your program to the Vice Principal, Mr. Shiwa Fu, this Saturday, 12/16/2006. This is a great opportunity for all kids to show off their talent at using Chinese! This is also a traditional event for all NWCS families to celebrate the New Year together. Your participation is greatly appreciated.
