學校規則
Smart Boards - Careful!
每個教室裏有一塊 Smart Board （它看起來像是一般的白板， 但在左上角有標示 「Smart Board」）， 學校絕對禁止任何人碰觸它， 或是在上面寫字。
There is a Smart Board in each classroom. It looks like a regular white board, but with the mark "Smart Board" on the upper left corner. It is expensive and very fragile. Absolutely do not touch or write on these boards!

消防演習順利完成
Fire Drill: We passed!
感謝大家的合作。 消防演習時大家快速有序的離開教室大樓， 並耐性的在樓外等待。 因此我們順利通過消防演習。 恭喜大家。
Thanks to everyone's cooperation in the fire drill, NWCS has passed inspection. We evacuated the building in a timely and orderly fashion, and remained calm while waiting to re-enter. As a result, we passed the drill! Congratulations to all of us!

School Location Search
北威目前的校址， Somers Middle School， 下年度將施工擴建， 因此無法續租給本校。 我們目前正在多方尋找下年度學校新址。 感謝多位董事及家長的努力， 我們目前正在與幾所學校洽商。 新的校址一經確定， 我們會立即知會所有的家長。
As you are aware, we have been searching a new location for the next school year. Thanks to the efforts of the board members and some parents, we have some good leads in the search. We'll keep you posted once the new location has been determined!

Parent-Teacher Conferences
家長教師座談會將于十月二十一日上午十一時舉行。 請所有家長准時參加。 任何與您的孩子學習有關的問題都可在此與老師溝通。 各班懇親會的地點詳列在下。
Parent-teacher conferences will be held on 10/21/06. This is an opportunity for you to communicate with the teacher about any concerns, expectations and questions you may have regarding your child. Conferences will begin at 11:00. Please see below for the assigned room for your child's class.

財務人選更換
New Treasurer
上學年選出的財務滕雅文女士因個人因素日前辭職。 董事會目前已找到吳若莉女士接手這項工作。 這是臨時性的任命， 十一月的家長大會將正式投票選舉吳女士。 在這段交接時期� A負責財務委員會的董事， Rene Yip 及蔡秀伶將從旁輔助。 如果您對這項人事變動有任何疑問， 請找跟董事長鄭天人聯係。
Our elected Treasurer, Ms Aven Tan, has resigned from the position due to personal reasons. The school Board has appointed Ms Pauline Wu, CPA, as our Interim Treasurer. Ms Wu will be officially elected at the General Meeting in November. The transition between our former Treasurer, Ms Emily Chang, and Ms Wu went very well. Mr. Rene Yip and Ms Siew-Leng Chuah from the Finance Committee will help during this transition. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Tien-Jen Cheng, Chair of the school Board.
