學校規則

School Rules

在新學期的開始，我們要提醒大家幾項重要的規則。 違規的同學， 适情節輕重， 將受懲戒或是開除。

  1. 為了全校師生的安全， 我們嚴禁同學在走廊上奔跑， 也不可以在學校穿底部有輪子的鞋子。
  2. 不可以挪動課堂中的東西， 包括電腦， 教室器材， 學生或教師書桌抽屜裏的東西。
  3. 不可以擦掉黑板/白板上的字。 此外， 除非是老師的指示， 不可以在黑板/白板上寫字。
  4. 教室中嚴禁吃東西或喝飲料。同學應在餐廳或走廊上吃點心。

At the beginning of the school year, we would like to remind you of several important rules. Anyone violating these rules will be subject to discipline or suspension. The rules are:

  1. Running in the hallway or wearing wheel shoes is not allowed, for safety reasons.
  2. In the classroom, do not move or remove anything, including computers, classroom equipment, materials in students' and the teachers' desks.
  3. Do not erase any writing on the black/white boards in the classrooms. You may not write on the board at anytime unless instructed to by your teacher.
  4. No food or drink is allowed in the classrooms. Snacking is restricted to either the cafeteria or hallway.

Needed: New School Location

北威目前的校址， Somers Middle School， 下年度將施工擴建， 因此無法續租給本校。 我們目前正在多方尋找下年度學校新址。 如果您的學區有任何可能的地點， 並且您有認識學區相關人士， 請跟校長或董事聯係。 我們非常需要您的協助。

We are still in search of a new location for the next school year, when Somers Middle School is scheduled to carry out an expansion project. If you have any connection with your school district, please contact the Principal, Mr. C.K. Chang, or our Board members. We need your help to explore possibilities!

 

 

 

加退選課程

Add/Drop Classes

中文學校新學期的加退選今天開始﹐ 需要辦理的家長請到辦公室。

NWCS is now accepting add/drop enrollments for the new semester. If you need to add or drop a class, please come to the office to see the Registrar, Ms Shiauping Shih. Forms for adding or dropping a class may be found on our website at http://www.nynwcs.org/forms/AddDropForm2005.pdf.

課外輔導

Tutoring Service

您的孩子做功課需要輔導嗎？ 或是您希望有人幫他/她練習中文？ 在220室有四位輔導員可以幫助您的孩子。 如果您有興趣， 請帶您的孩子十一點下課后到220室。 我們還需要更多的輔導員。 十一年級的同學如果有興趣， 請到辦公室報名。

If your child(ren) need help with their homework or need help in understanding the class materials, please come to Room 220 from 11:00-12:00. We have four volunteers (our 11th grade students) to help them out. No appointments are needed - just walk in! We also encourage anyone in the 11th grade who is interested in becoming a tutor to contact the office for details.

座談會 – 九月二十三日

Seminar 09/23/06

本校的創辦人， Donald Tang， 將于九月二十三日在本校舉辦一場講座， 主題是 “The Fun and Intrigue of Chinese”。 歡迎大家來參加。

Mr. Donald Tang, the NWCS founder, will present "The Fun and Intrigue of Chinese" to our community. The seminar will be held 9:00-11:00 in Room 301. Everyone is welcome to attend.

新家長座談會– 九月二十三日

New Parents' Seminar 09/23/06

為歡迎新加入北威的家庭， 新家長座談會將于本周六舉辦。 這個座談會將介紹北威的沿革， 組織， 人事， 北威家庭擔負的角色， 及其他有關事項。 新家長有任何問題也可在此提出。

To welcome all newcomers to NWCS, a seminar will be held on 09/23/06 for new families. It will cover the school's history, organization, and staff, the role of each family in NWCS, expectations for parents and students, etc. Any questions regarding the school will be welcome.

時間/Time: 10:00-11:00﹔ 地點/Location: Room 220.

消防演習

Fire Drill

消防演習將于九月三十日舉行。 請各班老師查看教室內的疏散路??圖。 上課前預告學生， 警鈴響時帶領學生迅速疏散到室外。 所有的家長也需立刻離開大樓。 在大樓外等待時， 所有的學生必須跟老師待在一起。 演習的過程中， 請大家保持良好制序。 所有的學生， 教職員， 及家長必須等到演習完畢才能回到大樓內。

A fire drill is scheduled for next Saturday, 09/30/06. We ask that every teacher review the evacuation map with your class in advance. On the day of the drill, inform your students of the drill at the beginning of class, and, once the alarm goes off, lead them out of the building in an orderly manner. All parents are also required to evacuate promptly. It is extremely important that everyone remains outside until the drill is finished. We need your cooperation in order to pass the fire drill requirement.

家長值日是北威中文學校一個重要的傳統。 我們非常需要每一位家長擔當起這份責任。 請各位家長預先查看家長值日表，在您當值的那一天准時報到。 如果您有時間上的衝突， 請提早安排替換人選。 細節請看北威網站的家長值日說明 （選網站左邊目錄裡的“家長值日表”)。

Parent Duty has always been an important tradition at NWCS. Every parent's participation is the key to the success of the school. We ask that you check the Parent Duty roster in advance and fulfill your duty accordingly. If a schedule conflict arises, it is your responsibility to make necessary prior arrangements. For more details, please see the descriptions of on-duty parents' tasks on the NWCS website (click "Parent Duty Roster" in the left-hand navigator). As a reminder, the parents on duty for this week are:
