新學年新措施： 高年級必選課

Mandatory Elective Class for Senior Students

日前本校董事會決議， 自下學年度起， 六年級以上的同學必須加選第三堂課 （十一時至十二時）。 這項決議的目的在於促進學生學習的興趣及成效。 這項決議已經獲得多位家長的支持。 所有高年級 （六年級以上）的學生在註冊時必須加選一門選修課。 選修課內容請參見註冊表。 如果您有任何疑問， 請於本周六到學校餐廳， 我們將有本校董事在場解答您的問題。 您也可以跟校長鄭天人聯係。

The Board has decided to convert the 3rd hour as mandatory "elective" class for students in grades 6 and up for the Fall 2006 semester. This is to further improve our curriculum in culture and language, and enrich students' learning and comprehension. This decision has received the support of many of our parents. All senior students are required to register for the 3rd hour class and choose an elective from a variety of classes. Please see the registration form for the list of electives available for next semester. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this change, please come to the registration desk in the cafeteria this Saturday. Some of our board members will be there for questions.

期末野餐/體育趣味競賽

Year-End Picnic/Sports Day

本年期末野餐將於六月十七日舉行。 地點是 Reis Park (位於 Somers High School 附近)。 野餐包括體育趣味競賽， 有賽跑， 接力等項目， 學生將混合編組競賽。 我們急需幫忙的人手， 有興趣幫忙的家長， 請與副校長尚業敏聯絡。 餐倦目前正在發售中。

The Year-End picnic will be held in Reise Park (located near Somers High School). Sports and games will follow. Each grade will randomly split into two teams. There will be races, relays, and other fun activities for everyone (adults too!) to participate and enjoy. Kids, bring your own water gun and prepare to shoot at our PRINCIPAL!! If you have ideas for an activity or would like to join the Sports Day Committee, please contact contact Kelly Lin by phone or email at . We really need parents to help out! Lunch tickets are available for sale this Saturday.

下學年註

2006-2007 Registration

下學年註冊今天開始。 所有在校生必須於七月十五日前辦理註冊。 七月十五日以後註冊的學生必須加繳 $50 的費用。

Registration is required for all returning students for the new school year. Registration will begin today and end 7/15/06. Prior to the end of this school year, you can register at the office. A $50 late fee will be imposed on all registrations received after 7/15/06.

There are multiple openings at our school for teachers. If you are interested in teaching language, arts, or Chinese Social Studies, or know someone who may be interested, please contact the Principal, Mr. Tien-Jen Cheng.

NWCS Open House Today!

本校今天對外開放， 歡迎有興趣的家庭來校參觀。 請大家廣泛告知親朋好友。 在參觀日我們將展示各班學生的作品， 並有餐點招待。 希望大家踴躍參加。

NWCS will host an Open House today. Please invite your friends who might be interested in sending their children to our school. Students' work from each class, including the electives, will be displayed. There will also be a tour of the school. New Year Party video will be shown in the cafeteria. Refreshments provided by parents will be served. All are welcome. An information flyer is available on our site.

School Conduct Reminder

請各位家長及同學遵守學校規則: 1) 不可在走廊上奔跑追逐， 2) 早餐及點心限於餐廳享用。 請勿將食物帶入教室。

Everyone please remember: no running in the hallway is permitted; all food and drinks should be consumed in the cafeteria. No snacks should be brought into the classroom.
