ACS Annual Conference

美東中文學校2006年會將於五月二十七， 二十八兩日在 SUNY New Paltz 舉行。 詳情請參閱網站： http://www.acsusa.org/acs2006/。 本校是主辦學校之一， 歡迎老師， 家長， 與同學們踴躍參加。 請於四月十五日前向校長鄭天人報名。

The annual meeting of the ACS (Association of Chinese Schools) will be held on 05/27/06 and 05/28/06 at SUNY New Paltz. All teachers, parents, and students are welcome to attend. More information is posted at http://www.acsusa.org/acs2006/. Please sign up with the Principal, Mr. Tien-Jen Cheng, by 04/15/06.

中文學校協會榮譽學生提名

ACS Student Honor Society

中文學校協會接受榮譽學生提名， 凡是本校九， 十， 十一年級學生， 學業優良或中文SAT II 700分以上者， 都可向校長報名。 根據學生人數， 本校可提名四位學生。

We are accepting the nomination of Honor student to join the ACS Student Honor Society. 9th- to 11th-grade students who have good grades in our school and in their regular high school, and who have scored over 700 points in the SAT II Chinese test may apply. Please contact the Principal, Mr. Tien-Jen Cheng for details. Based on our number of students, we can nominate up to 4 students.

親情園地研習班

Parenting Workshop

北威親情園地第七期已於三月十一日開班。 這為期十週的親職研習班， 由林安禮老師主持， 以小組分享的方式進行， 內容包括親子溝通、 子女管教、 價值觀、 青少年心理、 性教育等。 歡迎所有關心親子問題的父母親參加。 林安禮老師， 心理輔導碩士， 在台灣曾擔任 “張老師電話” 義務張老師。 在美從事親職教育多年。 時間： 週六早上 9:15 到 11:00。 地點： Somers Middle School 305 室。 費用： $80.00。 報名： 請電王台花女士 (914-737-5823).

NWCS is offering a 10-week parenting workshop, beginning 03/11/06, from 9:15 to 11:00 AM. The topics include effective communications, discipline, youth psychology, sex education, etc. Ms An-li Lin will be the facilitator for the workshop. The fee is $80. If you are interested in the workshop, please contact Ms Tai-hua Wang at (914) 737-5823.

Parent/Teacher Conferences

老師家長座談會將於四月一日上午十一時舉行。 請所有家長準時參加。 任何與您的孩子學習有關的問題都可在此與老師溝通。 各班座談會的地點詳列在下。

Parent/teacher conferences will be held 4/1/06. This is an opportunity for you to communicate with your child's teacher about any concerns, expectations and questions you may have. Conferences will begin at 11:00. Conference rooms are as follows:

學校新增中文圖書

New Chinese Books

學校陸續收到很多中文圖書， 尤其是四箱由東森慈善基金會贈送的小朋友讀物， 非常實用與珍貴。 在此感謝王台花女士的幫助。 我們將整理藏書， 供大家借閱。 我們需要義工來參與這項工作。 有興趣的家長， 請與董事朱麗媛連絡。

Thanks to Mrs. Tai Hwa Chang, we just received 4 boxes of Chinese children's books from the ETTV Foundation of Taiwan. These are very useful and valuable books for children to learn Chinese. We need volunteers to organize all the books and CD/DVD's. We would like to open our "library" for parents and students to borrow the books. If you are interested in helping out, please see Ms Juliet Candee.
