新年晚會及畢業典禮

New Year's Party and Graduation

新年晚會及畢業典禮將于一月二十一日舉行。 地點是在 Somers 高中。 晚會節目包括各班學生的表演， 晚餐， 跳舞， 卡拉OK， 發紅包及抽獎。 新年晚會餐卷將于一月七日起在辦公室發售。 大人票一張十二元， 兒童 pre-K 以上一張六元。 老師及學校職員將獲得一張免費餐卷。 晚會中將有精美禮品抽獎活動。 頭獎是 iPod nano。 抽獎卷一張兩元， 十張十元， 三十張二十元。

The New Year's Party and graduation ceremony will be held on 1/21/06 (snow day on 1/28/06) at Somers High School. The party will include performances from each class, dinner (buffet style), dancing, carnival, karaoke, and red envelopes for all students. The New Year's Party dinner tickets will be available for purchase at the office starting 1/7/06. The ticket price is $12 for adults and $6 for children pre-K and older. Teachers and staff are entitled to one free ticket. There will also be a raffle at the New Year party for great prizes. The grand prize is an iPod nano! Raffle tickets will be sold for $2 per ticket, $10 for 10, and $20 for 30.

Book Fair

NWCS will be conducting a Book Fair Program through the Asia for Kids organization. Asia for Kids is an organization that offers educational products to facilitate learning of Asian language and culture. Please see the catalog from Asia for Kids that came home with your child last week. If you wish to place an order, please fill out the order form with a check payable to NWCS and return to your teacher by January 14th. By making a purchase through Asia for Kids, you will be supporting NWCS. If you need another copy of the catalog, please contact Rene Yip.

聖誕節募款活動

Successful Holiday Fundraiser

十二月本校的聖誕節募款活動一共募到$454，極為成功。 董事會在此對募款委員 Rene Yip, Benson Louie, 及 Cheryl Jagow 深切表示感謝。 我們也感謝所有大力支持這項活動的家長。

The Holiday Fundraising Sale on 12/10 and 12/17 was a tremendous success. The school received a total of $454 from the 2-day event. The NWCS board would like to thank the members of the Fundraising committee, Rene Yip, Benson Louie, and Cheryl Jagow, and all the parents who either donated or purchased items. Thank you!

本學期背誦比賽共有六十三位同學參加。 跟据比賽規定， 每一組前三名將獲得獎狀及 獎盃， 成績在前百分之三十的同學將獲得獎狀。 得獎同學的名單供佈在下面。 其餘 的同學將獲贈記念品以資鼓勵。 恭喜大家。

Sixty-three students participated in this contest. In accordance with the rules, the top 3 winners in each group will receive a certificate as well as a trophy; the top 30% winners will get certificates. Their names are listed below.
