學期末遇雪延後的權宜辦法
Snow Day Make-up
本學期因雪本應延後一周， 但延後周卻與獨立紀念日觸期。 校方決定將復習周與期末考周合併於六月二十五日。 該周九至十點上復習課， 十至十二點舉辦期末考。 所有選修課則取消。
Earlier this term, NWCS was canceled due to snow. However, the planned snow day for this term conflicts with the July 4th weekend. We have decided not to extend this term for another week; instead we will combine the review class and the Finals on our last day of school, June 25th. On that day, the review class will be held from 9:00 to 10:00, and the Final will take place from 10:00 to 12:00. All elective classes will be canceled that day.

本學期作文比賽成績已揭曉。 一年級及二年級組： 第一名1A張凱文， 第二名1B葉文安， 第三名 1A劉冠伶。
三至四年級組： 第一名4A黃艾玲， 第二名4A劉姵妤， 第三名4A洪潔詩。 佳作： 3年級松本仁昌， 4A林敏晟， 3年級馬猷龍以及4A孔令安。
五至七年級組： 第一名7A劉姵伶， 第二名7A周紹欣， 第三名6年級 松本慧琴。
八至十一年級組： 第一名8年級陸彥君， 第二名8年級Samantha Attwood。
另因評分裁判誤將八年級與中年級分成一組， 九至十一年級另分一組， 于此另外特頒九至十一年級組第一名9A董嘯天， 第二名9B黃可仁。
The results of the Spring 2005 Academic Contest are out. 1st-2nd grades: 1st place Kevin Chang
(1A), 2nd place Brandon Yip (1B), 3rd place Catherine Liu (1A).
3rd-4th grades: 1st place Eileen Huang (4A), 2nd place Angela Liu (4A), 3rd place Jei-Si Ang (4A). Honorable mentions go to
Ryan Matsumoto (3), Julia Lin (4A), Alexander Malerba (3) and Amy Kung (4A).
5th-7th grades: 1st place Clare Liu (7A), 2nd place Valerie Chou (7A), 3rd place Danielle Matsumoto (6).
8th-11th grade: 1st place Katrina Lu (8), 2nd place Samantha Attwood (8).
During the judging procedure, the 8th graders were mistakenly grouped with the lower grades. To correct this error, we also
award among the 9th-11th grades: 1st place Alexander Doong (9A), 2nd place Keren Wong (9B).

2005-2006 School Year Registration
本校已開始辦理下學年註冊。 請各位家長下載註冊表或到 216 向註冊主任索取及填寫註冊表。 學費增收案已于兩周前由家長投票通過。 下學年每位學生學費將酌增 30元。
Registration for the 2005-2006 school year has started. Parents, please get your registration form here on the website, or come to the office (Room 216) to get a copy. Two weeks ago, we passed the tuition increase proposal; the tuition next year will include an increase of $30 per student.

Board of Directors Election Results
兩周前(六月四日)， 本校舉行新董事選舉,當選名單如下: 黃允武先生, 張榮先生, 蔡秀玲女士, 陳隆享先生以及 Mr. Rene Yip。
Two weeks ago, 6/4/05 we elected five directors to the school board. They are: Mr. Woody Huang, Mr. Rong Chang, Ms Siew Leng Chuah, Mr. Lyman Chen and Mr. Rene Yip.
二十五日舉辦聚餐和園遊會
June 25 Party and Carnival
這學期最後一周， 也就是六月二十五日， 學校將在 Somers Middle School 舉辦聚餐和園遊會。 雖然當天 10:00-12:00 是期末考時段， 園遊會將于 11:30 在體育館開始， 以便利提早出場的小朋友。 自助餐式的聚餐則將于 12:30 在餐廳開始。 餐卷于本周開始發售， 十二?以下小孩每人五元， 成人和十二?以上小孩每人八元。
NWCS will have a carnival and luncheon party on the last day of school， June 25, 2005. The carnival will start in the Gym at 11:30, while the finals (10:00-12:00) are still taking place, to give the younger students who normally finish finals earlier a head start. The buffet-style luncheon will start in the cafeteria at 12:30. We will start selling luncheon tickets this week. The ticket price is $5 per person for children 12 and under, $8 per person for children 13 and older and adults.

NWCS Open House
本校於六月十一日早上十點舉辦了學校開放參觀日， 成效良好。 謝謝各位家長和老師的踴躍參與及幫忙。
