暑期輔導高級班和初級班

Summer Tutoring

十二年級老師張一飛先生將於今年暑假開暑期輔導高級班。該班招收九年級以上學生，每週授課二至三堂課，為期六周。另前親子班老師呂偉芸女士將於今年暑假開暑期輔導初級班。該班則招收初級程度學生。有興趣的同學，請跟張老師或呂老師或校長聯絡。

Our 12th grade teacher Mr. Ifay Chang is offering a summer tutoring program for students from 9th grade and up. The program is likely to be 6 weeks long with 2-3 sessions each week. Our former PC teacher Ms. Evelyn Lu is offering a similar summer program that is more beginner-oriented. If any students are interested in either of these programs, please contact Mr. Chang, Ms Lu, or the Principal.

新董事選舉

Election of New Board Members

上週家長大會由於時間關係，各董事候選人無法自我介紹。而且有許多家庭已先行離開，沒能投票。因此董事會考慮重新投票，詳情將儘快公佈。

Due to the lack of time in last week's general meeting, the board member candidates did not have a chance to introduce themselves; also, many families had left without casting their votes for the board members. The board is considering a re-election for board members. More details will be available soon.

亞裔文化節

Asian American Heritage Festival

亞裔文化節將於五月二十八日上午十一時至下午六時，藉 Kensico Dam Park (Valhalla) 舉行，免費入場。

The annual Asian American Heritage Festival will be held Saturday, May 28, 2005 from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Kensico Dam Park in Valhalla. Admission and parking are free.

作文比賽

NWCS Academic (Writing) Contest

學生作文比賽將於六月四日上午九時三十分於220教室舉行。比賽分四組: 一到二年級，三到四年級，五到七年級，八到十一年級。請學生踴躍參加。

The school-wide writing contest will be held Saturday, 6/4/05, at 9:30 in Room 220. Medals will be awarded to contestants with the top three scores in each level. This year there will be four levels: grades 1 & 2, grades 3 & 4, grades 5-7, and grades 8-11.

父母聊天室

Parents' Chatroom

林安禮老師已闢一個 “父母聊天室”。歡迎所有對如何幫助孩子成長﹐ 如何管教孩子﹐ 如何改善親子關係﹐ 如何和孩子溝通這些課題有興趣的家長自由參加。父母聊天室除了提供大家交換心得經驗的機會之外,還有許多這方面的書籍錄音帶出借﹐ 歡迎大家充分利用。時間﹕ 每週六早上 9:15 到 10:30﹔ 地點﹕ 223 室。

Ms AnLi Lin has organized a "Parents' Chatroom". All parents who are interested in discussing how to help their children grow, how to discipline their children, and how to communicate with their children, are invited to attend. The "Parents' Chatroom", besides giving parents the opportunity to exchange their experiences and lessons learned, will also make available for reference many books and tapes in these subject areas.

The "Parents' Chatroom" will be held weekly, from 9:15 to 10:30 in Room 223.
