家長值日

On-Duty Parents

上週有兩位值日家長沒有出現﹐導致許多不便﹐且加重其他家長的工作份量。 校方將對無故缺席的家庭罰鍰 $50。 若再有類似情況﹐ 校方將研擬新的運作方式。 請家長們於家長大會時踴躍提出意見。

Two of the last week's on-duty parents did not show up, resulting in extra work and inconvenience for the other on-duty parents. The school levies a $50 fine for families who do not fulfill their duty. If this situation persists, we may need to find a new system in order to keep the school operating smoothly. We ask parents to give this some thought, and provide suggestions during the general meeting.

The first-ever NWCS T-Shirt is available! The design was done by Michelle Wu of the 11th grade. Short-sleeve T-Shirts are $12 and long-sleeve, $16. Various choices of colors and sizes are available. 家長大會

General Meeting

家長大會將于下週六，十一月二十日召開。 請各位家長準時參加。

The General Meeting will be held next week, 11/20/04. Please plan on attending!

輔導室

Study Hall

學校的輔導室﹐ 於每周六早上十一點至十二點﹐ 由 兩位高年級的學長指導低年級的學弟妹做中文作業。 即使您的孩子十一點至十二點有選修課﹐ 仍然可以到輔導室﹐ 花五到十分鐘複習當天的作業。 有興趣的同學請早上到辦公室 (216 教室) 向副校長張振坤報名。 若家長對孩子的作業有疑問﹐也歡迎參加。

Our school has signed up two excellent high-school students to help middle- and lower-grade students with their homework and class material. We highly recommend that children who need help come to the Study Hall in Room 220 from 11:00 to 12:00 and meet with the tutors. Even if your children are taking elective classes in the 3rd hour, they can still come for just 5-10 minutes to go over their homework with the tutors before going (back) to their classes. Their memory is freshest right after class, and a little reinforcement then will go a long way. Please take full advantage of our Study Hall and reduce your (and your children's) stress later on in the week!

專題講座

Seminar

專題講座於十二月四日﹐ 十點至十點四十五分在 220 教室舉行。 講員是大都會保險與理財公司張荔揚女士﹐ 題目是「你的家屬是否有保障?」﹐ 歡迎家長參加。

We will hold a seminar on 12/4/2004 in Room 220 from 10:00-10:45. The speaker will be Susy Chang, Senior Financial Services Executive, MetLife. The topic will be: Are Your Love Ones Protected?
