恭喜王昭平老師

Congratulations to Rita Kwan

本校王昭平老師近日通過紐約州中文教師檢定。 我們在此恭喜她。 王老師將在公立學校教授中文， 並在北威繼續任教。

Congratulations to our teacher, Rita Kwan, who has recently earned the NY State teaching certificate in teaching Chinese. Mrs. Kwan will be teaching Chinese at the public school and will continue to teach at NWCS. Wish her good luck!

Construction

Somers School 的工程已經開展。 部分停車場將關畢， 大樓內部分空間也將限制使用。 請大家小心安全， 隨時注意指標。 各位家長請特別注意您的幼童，不要讓他們在禁止走動的區域玩耍。 您的安全是我們最重要的目標。

The Somers School expansion project has started. The parking lot will be partially closed, and the use of the school facilities will be restricted to some extent. We ask that everyone be aware of your surrounding and observe signs. Please keep a close eye on your youngsters and keep them out of the restricted areas. Your safety is our number one priority.

早餐服務

Breakfast Service

原任早餐會成員日前同意繼續在周六提供早餐服務。 我們在此特別感謝汪亞琪及所有早餐會成員的熱心服務。

The original members of the Breakfast Club have decided to provide help in serving breakfast on Saturday mornings. Special thanks to Angela Wang and the club members!

美東中文學校協會款項

ACS Funds

由於本校去年擔任美東中文學校 2007 年會的主辦單位， 我們將獲美東中文學校協會撥款 $7,283。 我們再度向去年大力贊助的家長及教職員表示謝意。

NWCS will soon receive $7,283 from ACS for our hosting the ACS annual conference last year at New Paltz, New York. Once again, we thank those participants and volunteers at the 2006 annual conference.

ACS Annual Conference

We have received a very positive response to the registration for the 2007 ACS meeting. 16 teachers from our school will attend this event. The teachers will have the opportunity to meet the textbook authors and teachers from other schools on the east coast. They will participate in workshops for enhancing teaching skills and studying teaching materials.
